Shot at night with my D80. SB-26 with shoot-through umbrella on the left, SB-26 with a full CTB-gel on the right. White balance on daylight to have neutral light from the main flash, while creating a blueish glow to put some color into the dark snow.

The flashes were optically triggered by my popup flash that was set to 1/32th so it did not influence the light while still being powerful enough to trigger my light setup.

It’s been a while

I’ve always found it very difficult to make nice pictures of food. As my girlfriend made some tapas for the new year’s party, I had another try. The only trick I found to make it look a bit more tasty is using my 50mm f1.8 to limit the DOF.
